In this photo assignment I took some of my best photos that I have taken for various different assignments and worked on them in photoshop transferring them from color to black and white. Unedited Bets Photo: Edited Shutter- 1/60 Aperture- 5.6 ISO- 180 While working in photoshop with these photos I worked on changing the colors and the darkness they allow in. Some of the photos I struggled with how the photos darkness showed up after editing them in black and white, what I did to fix that was to bring the brightness up.

For this assignment we were giving the task to take good quality portraits for our friends, we were meant to use the studio set up for one photo and a bounce card for the other. During this assignment I learned how to use studio light and a bounce card. Something that I had to work with was the auto focus on my camera was momentarily not working so I had to work of manually focusing which I actually like better than auto focus.
For this assignment we were told to take many photos across a space and use photoshop to stitch them together to make a really panoramic photo. During this assignment I learned how to use a tripod correctly so that I am able to move my camera and take pictures of a wide space. I also learned how to use photoshop and photo merge all the series of photos.
I decided to do an event photo for this assignment I was going to a convention in Indianapolis and I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to do an event photo assignment. Unedited Best Photo: Edited Shutter- 1/160 Aperture- 3.5 ISO- 100 I really liked taking these photos some things that I did struggle with was getting to make sure that everyone was in focus when taking the photos. I worked with photoshop on a couple to do blemish fixing on some of the peoples faces.
I decided to take picture of my cat, he is an outside cat so I had to work with following him around and make sure that he didn't come and just rub on me. Best Photo: Shutter- 1/200 Aperture- 10.0 ISO- 400 Most of the photos I used did not need any photoshop other than to brighten the photo up a bit. I believe while taking the photos I was using the shutter setting so that a lot of the photos came out dark, I had to work with shutter because the cat that I was trying to take pictures of was constantly moving. Over all I got only a couple of photos that had little to no blur.
For this assignment I was given a photo of a car that was taken by another photography student and was told to photoshop out glares and most of the background to match the demo the teacher gave me. During this assignment I learned a lot of new things in photoshop. I learned how to properly use levels adjustment, clone stamp, how to select/deselect/inverse select, and how to add text. I did have many struggles with clone stamp and the selection options but I walked myself through it an figured it out.
These photos are picture before the homecoming dance I decided to take them at Curtis ParK because i believed that it would have ample lighting and nice scenery in the background. Best Photo: Shutter- 1/160 Aperture- 4.5 ISO- 100 Most of these photos were taken while the subject was in motion so that I was able to get an accurate depiction of who his is a person. I learned that using a faster shutter speed for this was the best option. I feel like these photos turned out really well. I also feel like they depict who the person is very well.
In this assignment I was told to take a picture of myself using photo booth and then to follow the steps into doing photoshop. We had to first crop down the picture, measure the photo, make a canvas the same size, enlarge the canvas, change picture mask, change picture color, and place the pictures evenly on canvas (not in this order). During this assignment I learned how to use photo shop, some of the techniques I learned is how to make a blank canvas and to make it larger. I also learned how to change the color of the pictures. One last thing that I learned how to do was use key board short cuts like command+C to copy and command+V to paste.
For my second photo assignment I have chosen on the subject of people. I am hoping to get better at taking picture while the subject is in motion and so that the subject is not blurry, along with working more with focus an shutter speed. I think these pictures are good representation of people photography. You can tell that the person is the main focus and anything that maybe in the background is blurred out. I love to capture the essence of who a person is, showing who they are and what they are really like as a person. I am hoping to show this through some of my photography skills.
I decided to macro photography for this assignment to help me with some of my shutter speed and aperture practice. I took these picture around my farm, I thought this would be a good place to take the photos because the farm has many places that would allow for up close photography. Best Picture: Shutter- 1/1250 Aperture- 6.3 ISO- 800 During this assignment I experienced some struggles of setting my aperture and shutter up so I was allowing the correct amount of light coming through. After taking my first coupe of picture I started to learn what I had t with compensation after changing one or the other.
